Pingo Canadian Landmark There are about 1350 pingos in the Inuvialuit Settlement Area. The Pingo Canadian Landmark is an area near Tuktoyaktuk that was established to protect Ibyuk and several other pingos. People from Tuktoyaktuk enjoy using this area for day trips and camping out. There is a lot of driftwood in the bays for campfires and wood stoves. Pingo Canadian Landmark is a good area to hunt geese. Blinds made from driftwood are scattered throughout the area. |
