The wretched deaths of Hornby, Aldard and Christian became international legend because Edgar Christian’s journal was found in the stove and published in 1937. This has prompted people to visit Hornby’s cabin and illegally collect items from the site. Luckily, these artifacts were diverted to the PWNHC and NWT Archives collections so we can preserve and make them available to the public.
