Reindeer Corrals From 1978 until recently, Canadian Reindeer (1978) Limited owned a large herd of reindeer that grazed on the Tuktoyaktuk Peninsula. In summer, the herd was driven into a corral at Nuvuraq where the reindeer were counted and given medicine if needed. Some had their antlers removed, to be sold as medicine in Asia. |
