Self-Reliance
I came from the bush. I was born in the bush.
I've seen changes. I've seen our people suffer, trying to fit into the change under the white man.
I've seen my people when they first used a gun and this was the old muskets. Gun was used, bow and arrow was used. We had no houses. Houses that we see today never existed.
We lived in the bush, followed the game, and we traveled all over. I grew up that way. I am a man from that generation. We got hungry sometimes, and we suffered. But nobody has ever complained because that was our way of life.
