Fort Chipewyan was our next stop. We had travelled 300 miles by Canoe and 200 miles with dogs and, although still perfectly fit, had earned a short rest. Chipewyan is a lovely place, situated on the shores of Lake Athabasca. One of the oldest, if not the oldest, Trading Posts in the North West, it is still a very important place.
