definitely Asiatic features of the Esquimaux. One meets descendants of famous old pioneering Fur Traders, Herons, Loutits and McLeans. There were no White Women in the Country in the early days, and the Traders took squaws. Sometimes they were married, more times not, but the descendants of those early marriages still carry on the same business in practically the same way.

It is not uncommon to find a “Breed”, resembling an Indian in every way but talking with a broad Scotch accent.
