"Big River"

NuligakThey saw three qayaqs returning from the country of the Kukpakmeut. ("I, Nuligak" p. 191)

Kuukpak, which means Big River, is the Inuvialuit name for the Mackenzie River.

Kuukpak also was the name of a village that once was occupied by the Kuukpakmiut branch of the Inuvialuit.
