About Kuukpak - Home of the Kuukpangmiut

The coastline of Qangmaliq Bay is constantly changing. Silt carried down the Mackenzie River builds up along the shore in some areas, while elsewhere ice scouring and wave action is eroding the shoreline.

Both landscape-altering processes are at work along the shore where the village of Kuukpak once existed.
